MLM Home Business

Over the years, the term MLM, which stands for Multi Level Marketing, has gotten a bad rap. I'm not saying that some of it isn't deserved, but to blatantly say that all MLM type businesses are scams, crooked, illegal, or whatever labels you want to put on the industry, is just flat out wrong. In this article, we're going to take a look at the MLM industry as a home based business, in a realistic and honest manner. Hopefully, after reading this, you will have a decent idea of what kind of MLM company you want to get involved with. Believe it or not, they're not all bad.

The problem with MLM in general is that many people are under the misconception that the object of running an MLM home business is to get an army of people under you in order to get these massive monthly checks. While ultimately, that is one way of making an income with an MLM company, it is not the be all and end all.

A good MLM company, and for that matter, a legal one, will have a good solid product to sell other than just the company opportunity itself. A perfect example of a legal and excellent MLM home business is Avon. The people who sell Avon products sell real products. And make no mistake about it, they're darn good products. I should know because my wife uses them. Now, maybe if she had more time she'd sell them as well. But she doesn't. That, however, is the only reason why she doesn't. She already has a full time job as a teacher. The point is, as an opportunity, Avon is a perfect MLM company to get involved in. They have a great reputation and the majority of people in the world recognize them as legit.

Where you get into problems is with these MLM companies that have no real product and the main focus is simply to recruit members. While some people may have no ethical problem with this, these companies that have no product or foundation are illegal and are slowly being shut down. So if you are going to get involved in an MLM type opportunity as a home business, you want to find one that has a real product.

Avon is a great choice, but it's not the only one. There are many companies out there, especially in the health niche, that have some great products such as these energy drinks. They taste great and they're good for you. There are plenty of choices as far as MLM companies go. I'm not going to try to recommend any particular one but the key is to find one that has a real product. If you're unsure, write to the company and ask them what they sell. If the answer is fuzzy, there is a good chance that it is nothing more than a pure pyramid scheme and will ultimately be shut down.

MLM has gotten a bad rap, for certain. But if you do your homework and stick to companies that are legit, you have a decent chance of making a nice living online, even if all you do is sell product.

Now THAT is a novel concept.

To YOUR Success,
